Gold Creek Pond Outdoor Engagement Session
Shanean and Ian had such an adventurous outdoor engagement session at Gold Creek Pond in Washington! These two were truly up for anything, and I loved how they went barefoot during the session! Shanean and Ian are definitely lovers of the outdoors and had such a great time playing in the water, climbing on rocks and logs, and exploring the area! They also did the lindy hop dance during their session which they’ll be doing as their first dance together on their wedding day!
Shanean + Ian’s Outdoor Engagement Session at Gold Creek Pond
One of the greatest things about getting to serve the couples I do is learning all about their love stories, and especially their proposal stories. So of course, I had to ask Shanean how Ian proposed, she she told me Ian actually proposed to her while she was in the shower! Shanean had just worked her second ever night shift, and she heard Ian getting into the shower. She said “not in the mood” which, I think we can all relate to right? HA! Next thing Shanean knows, Ian is saying all of these sweet things to her, so she washes the soap out of her eyes and Ian is naked and down on one knee and he said to her “You told me you wanted it to be a surprise”.
Ok, so this is not your traditional kind of proposal, but Shanean was certainly surprised to say the least. And one thing about me is I love serving non traditional couples! She obviously said yes, so now here we are, having so much fun together during their outdoor Gold Creek Pond engagement session! I love their proposal story, and I’m so happy Shanean not only shared it with me, but reached out to document their engagement session!

“My fiancé and I have never had professional photos taken of us, and we certainly do not consider ourselves photogenic. Jessika made us feel so comfortable the entire time by being respectful of what we felt comfortable with and helping us pose in natural ways. Jessika was also patient with me deciding on a location for our engagement session. She communicates a ton with you prior to the session and she was very prompt with our meeting time. She did not make the session feel rushed at all and really focused on getting good shots. 10/10 recommend!”
